ABOUT NULON GREASE

Nulon L-80 Grease is a blend of activated PTFE (Poly Tetra Fluoro Ethylene), other propriety additives and Lithium based water repellant grease, compatible with most existing lubricants. L-80 can be used almost any greasing application to improve lubrication and reduce temperature and wear. PTFE is the slipperiest substance known to science which provides the lowest co-efficient of friction

Nulon L-80 Grease is a high temperature, high pressure, multipurpose grease with PTFE (Poly Tetra Fluoro Ethylene), and can be used in a vast verity of applications in Industries, Trucks/Heavy Vehicles, Construction equipment/machineries etc.

A multi-purpose Lithium Complex NLGI No.2 grease with extreme pressure, anti-corrosion and tacky additives. In L-80, PTFE particles are of sub-micron size and are finely dispersed. The PTFE content in the grease enhances the performance in the following manner:-

• PTFE is solid lubricant which functions in the area of boundary lubrication.
• PTEF is the slipperiest substance known to mankind.
• PTFE exhibits the lowest co-efficient of friction known to science.
• PTFE is inert.
• PTFE enhances corrosion protection of friction surfaces.
• PTFE offers lower Co-efficient of friction than graphite or molybdenum disulphide.
• PTFE is Non staining.
• PTFE reduces temperature build-up due to friction.

HOW NULON GREASE WORKS

1. The activated PTFE content in Nulon Grease is inert and is NOT affected by, rust, water, corrosion, minerals, acids etc and is the slipperiest substance known to science which provides the lowest co-efficient of friction.
2. The activated PTFE forms an active protective film on all the metal surfaces, parts  of the inner hub & bearing thereby giving protection to the metal surfaces, bearings and enhancing the lubrication by eliminating friction to near zero levels. (The film prevents direct metal to metal contact even with in the bearing) The friction is reduced to near zero levels and the bearing is completely protected from wear & tear.

BENEFITS AND PROPERTIES

L-80 keeps the water and dust out while a plating of PTFE is applied to the mating surfaces and working conditions. Seal performance is improved and operating temperature reduced, resulting in less grease “throw”.

L-80 is applicable to the majority of situations specifying grease lubrication, especially in high pressure, water and salt water conditions including wire ropes.

L-80 has a continuous temperature operating range of -20 centigrade to +260 centigrade (Intermittent or short term use upto 240 centrigrade)

L-80 provides a residual lubrication which is added insurances, combined with savings through less wear and down time, making it an economical benefit, smoother running, increased efficiency and prolonged machinery life, less labour and less volume of lubricant, all indicate higher profits.

Where L-80 has been used on a continuous basis, seizing, pitting will not occur on the friction surfaces.

APPLICATIONS

Nulon Grease can be used in any greasing application to reduce friction, improve lubrication, reduce operating temperatures, wear & tear and extend bearing life and for saving power/fuel. It is highly recommended for use in areas subjected to extreme pressure, high load, high speed and high temperature.

For truck, buses and other heavy equipment of Telco, Ashok Leyland and other manufacturers our Nulon L-80 grease is ideal to be used on the wheel bearings of front and rear hubs. The life of the grease is more than 125,000 kms as compared to other grease which has a life of less than 20000 kms. Nulon grease protects the bearings form damage and extends its life cycle by at least six times. i.e. the bearing remains in very good condition (as good as new) and can be refitted/used even after 125,000 Kms. 

Our grease for this application was tested by M/s Vijayanand Road Lines Ltd. Hubli, a fleet owner with more than 1500 vehicles. We enclose two certificates from them certifying our product along with cost benefit analysis (VRL CERTIFICATES 1 and 2 enclosed). Vijayanand Road Lines Ltd. are now regularly using our Nulon L-80 Grease in their vehicles.

VEHICLES:-  Universal joints, Wheel bearings, Leaf Springs, King pins Chassis, Tow Balls, Water pumps, Turn-tables, Clutch release Bearings, Ball Joints.

MARINE EQUIPMENT:-  Sump and bilge pumps, Deck winches, Trawl ropes, Boat trailer bearings, Outboard fittings, Stern tube Bearings, Propellor Shafts, Anchor winches Rudder post bearings.

MISCELLANEOUS:- Cables, Bearings, Bushings, Guides, Cams, Valves, Slides, Pumps, Mining equipment, Conveyors, Farm Machinery Production Equipment.

TEST REPORT

Nulon L-80 was tested for wheel bearing applications as per IS: 10647:1983 by CIRT (a government laboratory), Pune and a test report no. ERC/04-05/0400623967/E0183 dated 16th June 04 was issued showing that the Nulon L-80 Grease lasts 1,20,000 kms (leakage and deposit forming tendencies test) instead of 20,000kms for normal wheel bearing grease.
